Types of Fire Extinguishers
- Foam Fire Extinguisher: Designed for Class A (solid combustibles such as wood and paper) and Class B (flammable liquids) they create a foam layer over the flame to prevent re-ignition. Versatile in use, they can be installed in offices, warehouses and workshops, and leave less residue compared to powder extinguishers resulting in less clean-up time.
- Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguisher: Effective for Class B (flammable liquids) and electrical fires, these are safe for electrical equipment as it does not conduct electricity and is highly effective as they suffocate the fire to provide fast results with no residue left behind.
- Powder Fire Extinguisher: Suitable for Class A, B and C fires (solids, flammable liquids, and gases), they quickly smother the flame to stop it swiftly and can be used on a variety of fires making it a versatile choice for outdoor and industrial settings.
- Aqua Spray Fire Extinguisher: Best suited for Class A fires (solids such as textiles, paper and wood) the water spray cools the fire and prevents it from spreading. It is also easy to operate and effective in use, making it a great choice for workplaces and public spaces.
